Oracle AS 10.1.2.0.2 Web Cache as Load Balancer !!!!!!! |

1) Apply Patch 4569559. Download From Oracle Metalink. 2) Backup of internal.xml, located under $ORACLE_HOME/webcache directory on UNIX. 3) User Text Editor to open and the internal.xml. 4) Locate the CALYPSOINTERNALPARAMS element. 5) Add the LOADBALANCE sub element directly after the OEMPERFTOOL sub element as follows: 6) Save and exit internal.xml
Note: If you are already using 80 Listen port for webcache then have to reconfigure it.Otherwise you might be see this error message.
Starting instance immediate after configured webcache as load balancer.
#opmnctl startall opmnctl: starting opmn and all managed processes... =============================================================== opmn id=prod.oracle.com:6200 3 of 4 processes started. ias-instance id=webcache.icsds.csd.com +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ias-component/process-type/process-set: WebCache/WebCache/WebCache Error --> Process (pid=17120) failed to start a managed process after the maximum retry limit Log: /w01/oracle/product/10.1.2/webcache/opmn/logs/WebCache~WebCache~1
Solution: 1) Login as root. 2) Set temporary ORACLE_HOME. i.e – export ORACLE_HOME= /w01/oracle/product/10.1.2/webcache 3) Go to $ORACLE_HOME/webcache/bin and issue following command ./webcache_setuser.sh root 500 (Be sure to now leave the root login) 4) Login as oracle user and start your instance. 5) Test the webcache is running in Load balancer mode. http://hostname:9400/webcacheadmin 6) Input your password for ias_admin user.
7) You will see at top left side of web cache admin Home page. |
